Klos has been awarded fellowships for residencies at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture; Bemis Center;
The Vermont Studio Center; and The Joan Mitchell Foundation. He is the recipient of a 2015 NYFA Grant and a 2014 Joan Mitchell Award.
Klos was born in Chicago Illinois, and now lives in Harlem and works in the Bronx New York.
